Caffeine Addiction

Caffeine, a psychoactive drug, is a central nervous system stimulant. Most of the beverages tea, coffee contains Caffeine. It is most commonly used psychoactive drug that changes brain function and results in mood alterations. Chronic caffeine users may develop tolerance and physical dependence.

Side effects of caffeine include Sleepiness, This just isn’t your normal tiredness and this is sitting up straight but still can’t keep your eyes open tiredness, Headache, A caffeine headache usually starts behind the eyes and then moves up the front of the head, Irritability, Lethargy, Constipation, Depression, Muscle Stiffness, Lack of Concentration, Flu-like symptoms, Insomnia.

Caffeine is addictive because the molecule itself fits so perfectly into our brain’s adenosine receptors. Adenosine is responsible for telling the brain when it is time to rest or sleep. Signs of Caffeine dependency are Fatigue, Difficulty concentrating without caffeine, Dizziness, Frequent headaches, pronounced mood swings, Trouble staying awake during the day.

Caffeine increases the level of stress hormones in the body. As a result, you feel an increased sense of alertness between 30-45 minutes after ingesting it. This substance also raises the levels of dopamine in the brain in the same way as other drugs, such as cocaine, amphetamines, or heroin, do. When you first try to quit caffeine, you may experience, difficulty concentrating, depression, fatigue.
